New railway companies are emerging and are in fierce competition to meet the needs of a growing population. Merchants, dignitaries, food and other goods must be transported from one place to another, safely. A complex web of rail lines then crisscrosses the east of the continent. Thaddeus Reeves is one of these young, ambitious entrepreneurs. His plan to connect the entire nation exceeds his wildest dreams. Thanks to his profitable railway lines established between the east coast and the Mississippi, his company, Reeves Rails, is destined for a bright future. But such success is not to everyone's taste. Some greedy and unscrupulous railroad barons are scheming to take over Thaddeus's empire.
